Stagecoach North Lancashire and Cumbria’s new open top wright bus visited Manchester today for one day only!
The bus was used on services 203 (Manchester – Stockport), 192 (Manchester – Levenshulme), 216 (Manchester Ashton) and 250 (Manchester – Trafford Centre) and was proving a hit with local enthusiasts and passengers alike.
Quite an unusual sight seeing a brand new open top bus operating a standard service in Greater Manchester, something I believe hasn’t happened since before I was born when it was GM Buses apparently?!?!
The bus branded for LakeSider services around Kendal was a welcome visitor to Manchester, and I think is been used to publicise the fact you can enjoy the Lakes by bus! Even though it’s open top it accepts all standard Stagecoach tickets and passes and even has free Wi-Fi and USB Charging outlets
